MATT SPRACKLEN

MUSIC INFLUENCER

Matt Spracklen, music influencer and editor of @London (2.1 million followers) has become one of the most talked about social media influencers within the music industry and is always on the lookout for the next break-through music act. Matt has played with Green Day and has worked with Mick Jones (The Clash), Ron Sexsmith, Elvira Costello, Joanne Cash and Foy Vance.

Spracklen hosts an exclusive monthly music event called Stageside, where artists showcase album launches and pre-tour shows, with music and social influencers in attendance. Matt is also the host of popular music podcast 'Mainly Music', produced by Sarah Bishop (who also produces Frank Skinner and Edith Bowman’s podcasts), and is based around his own Spotify & Apple Music playlist.

Matt has previously presented at the Chelsea Flower Show (interviewing David Haye and Bill Bailey) and represented Virgin Radio at The Brits after having a few radio take-overs on Jamie East’s show, including a New Year’s Special. His work includes backstage access at huge events including British Summertime Festival and Silverstone Grand Prix, interviewing formula 1 drivers during F1 Live.

Matt’s passion for music shines through all of his work and his huge social presence has caught the eye of big brands. This has led to big acting and producing opportunities including working with the legend Alan Fletcher (Karl Kennedy) on a brand-new travel and photography documentary, due to air in the UK next year, and being and a supporting artist on the hit Australian soap, Neighbours.

Through his intensely creative vision and bespoke music passion, Matt mingles with artists such as Black Sabbath at their Ten Year War party, spent 4 days in NYC with Dave Stewart (Eurythmics) being part of his crew at Jimmy Fallon show, partied with Noel Gallagher, Royal Blood and Ed Sheeran at The BRITs Warner Music after-party, was a guest at Ronnie Wood & Robert Plant’s Save The Children night and attended numerous awards including Inside Soap Awards and an after-party with Will I Am and Jessie J at the Royal Albert Hall.

Other projects Matt’s been involved in include Google’s Pixel project with KISS at the O2 in June 2017, where he attended with Sophie Simmons (Gene Simmons’ daughter) and promoted the new Google Live phone cases. Matt is a big Liverpool fan and also currently runs the Instagram channel for Liverpool’s International Academy in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Matt is the Co-founder of global altruism movement ‘Do Something For Nothing’, which is a global goodwill movement of altruism. It started with Josh Coombes cutting hair for the homeless and as one of his best friends, Matt documented it with photography and worked with the media to promote it, which resulted in the campaign going viral.
