First things first! That Hollywood entrance onto the red carpet when you come out from the lift. Opposite me was a display of photographers capturing my good side! The room smelt of popcorn and I held my first Oscar Award — I felt like a star! Minutes away I found myself lounging with George Clooney, laughing with Marilyn Monroe & meeting Terminator! Which reminds me last week Arnold Schwarzenegger came to life as his character in USA Watch Link. I thought I try since he was in the UK recently, but I think he was playing hard to get. Great Acting Arnie!
Each year receives a greater line up of talent. You’ll be introduced to variety of new acts and established singers. This year welcomes to the stage — George Ezra, James Bay, Belle and Sebastian, Jessie J and of course GARY CLARK JNR!
My trip to Somerset House, caught me standing front and center, within a sea of eager fans. The bill had, Gary Clark Jr, with support act Songhoy Blues, as tonights brilliant line up.
The eager wait from the fans was finally over. “Songhoy Blues” where first up on stage and warmed up the crowd with their elevated music. Hours went by and everyone wanted more! Moments later, appearing from behind the smoke entered Gary Clark Jr and his band. The fans went ecstatic! One fan heckled “I love you Gary!”. A man of few words, Clark Jr replied “I love you to man”. Another fan said when the gig finished “It’s hard to find muscians that can play like that.’ Just goes to remind you of Obama’s words "He's the Future!" Personally, if you listen to Gary's music, you can be taken back to when Hendrix played.
For those who are new to Gary Clark Jnr and Songhoy Blues, here is a little more information about them:
