SIMON WEBBE IS THE BIG BAD WOLF
He'll HUFF, and He'll PUFF, and He'll BLOW YOUR HOUSE DOWN! Simon Webbe is 'The Big Bad Wolf' in George Stiles and Anthony Drewe’s “Three Little Pigs” West End Musical.
Today, many parents allowed their children to take a day off school and decided to spoil them for a family favourite nursery rhythm, the 'Three Little Pigs'. Which held it's Premiere at the Palace Theatre on Cambridge Circus, London.
I was invited to watch this exciting new musical, starring BLUE’s Simon Webbe playing the “Big Bad Wolf”. Joining him playing as the 'Three Little Pigs', are “Bee” Leanne Jones (Hairspray), “Bar” Taofique Folarin (The Lion King) and “Q” Daniel Buckley (The Book of Mormon). Alison Jiear play’s as “Mother” to the Three Little Pigs.

“Most children wil l know the the story of the Three Little Pigs, so our job has been to reinvent it in a theatrical way, with hummable, memorable songs that will appeal to the whole family”.
Interviewing Webbe before his performance I asked him —
“Do you have any similarities to the Big Bad Wolf?” He replied “I’ve got no similiarities to the Wolf, Apart from ... I AM a Bad Boy!”(Webbe then chuckles). Oh Simon! What are we going to do with you ...

The musical sees the piglets on an adventure that questions their independence. Styles and Drewe, wanted you to see the pigs as,
“Bar who loves to exersize, Bee who is ‘green’ to the core and Q the insatiable bookworm!”
The musical’s Premiere saw an amazing turn out with guests sharing their support. We bumped into quite a few — Presenter Lizzie Cundy, BLUE’s Lee Ryan & Antony Costa, Liberty X’s Michelle Heaton, BBUK’s Imogen Thomas, Ex on the Beach’s pair Jordan Davis & Megan McKenna!
Recently Lizzie Cundy interviewed Katie Hopkins on her radio show. We had to know - Does Lizzie think Katie Hopkins would be great playing as the Big Bad Wolf? (Cundy laughs).

The musical was packed with families enjoying themselves, the children more so. Simon Webbe showed how comical and engaging he can be having children laugh out loud for this nursery rhythm favourite. I recommend you watch this Musical with your children and catch it before summer's finished. It really does 'Huff and Puff' you away.
